Meet the MISpa Board

Nicole Meloche-Gregory

MISpa Chairperson/President

Co-founder and CEO of The Urban You, a multilocation medical spa based in Michigan and voted the state’s #1 medspa.  She holds the same titles for Urban You For Me, a luxury medical grade skincare website designed for all at home needs. Nicole hosts the bi-weekly podcast, The Beauty Standard , ranked in the top 30% of podcasts nationally.  A member of the Allergan Aesthetics Central Region Medspa Forum, she also participated in Allergan’s National Advisory Council. Nicole speaks nationally on topics such as:

  • The intersection of beauty (BeautyTech) and wellness (WellTech) with technology.
  • Where the medical spa industry will fit with the metaverse and our human capital.
  • Focusing on the importance of national collaboration between medical spa states with potential regulation and legislation.

Kurt A. Ashack, MD

MISpa Vice President/Secretary

Dr. Kurt Ashack is a Board Certified Dermatologist practicing at Dermatology Associates of West Michigan in Grand Rapids. He also teaches dermatology at Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine and is a mentor to medical students who are interested in dermatology. Dr. Ashack runs the dermatology interest group at the medical school. 

With over 40 publications to date he continues to do clinical research. Dr. Ashack reviews articles for several different dermatology journals and is on the editorial board for JMIR Dermatology.

His professional interests include connective tissue diseases (i.e. cutaneouslupus,dermatomyositis), blistering diseases, psoriasis, skin of color, pediatric dermatology, proceduraldermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and laser dermatology.
